De cursus vindt plaats op vrijdag 28 mei 2027.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>De cursus gaat in op de etiologie: wat zijn de oorzaken van afwijkende mondgewoonten en de gevolgen hiervan op het orofaciaal gebied, waaronder de groei van de kaken en de stand van de gebitselementen. Ook is er aandacht voor diagnostiek; het stellen van OMFT-diagnoses. Zoals een protrale tongpers (hoog, interdentaal, laag), latero-protrale tongpers (unilateraal, bilateraal), laterale tongpers (unilateraal, bilateraal) en bi-maxillaire tongpers (met en zonder open beet).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Verder zijn er enkele practica, gericht op het:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>visualiseren van het slikpatroon en de rustpositie van de tong met de Payne-techniek;<\/li>\n<li>meten van het tongriempje met Kotlow rulers en het classificeren ervan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dit zijn stuk voor stuk onderzoeken die in de tandartspraktijk toegepast kunnen worden, om diagnose te kunnen stellen. En mogelijk leidt dit tot een doorverwijzing naar een OMFT-logopedist.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de cursusdag komt er casu\u00efstiek aan bod, aan de hand van cli\u00ebntvoorbeelden uit OMFT-trajecten. Daarin wordt getoond welke resultaten er met OMFT bereikt kunnen worden, als er vroegtijdig met een cli\u00ebnt aan de slag gegaan kan worden. Ook de inzet van mondtrainers ter ondersteuning van OMFT komt nadrukkelijk aan bod, gericht op gebruik van het Myosa- en Myobrace systeem (mondtrainers MRC Europe uit Waalwijk) en de mondtrainers van OrthoPlus (MOS uit Brussel).<\/p>\n<p>Om direct met het geleerde aan de slag te kunnen gaan, krijgen alle deelnemers gratis een set met OMFT-instrumenten mee ter waarde van \u20ac 42,-, die bestaat uit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kotlow ruler<\/li>\n<li>Grooved director<\/li>\n<li>Digitale schuifmaat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nDatum, locatie en prijs<br \/>\n<\/strong>De OMFT-cursusdag voor tandartsen vindt plaats op vrijdag 28 mei 2027 in Hotel Fletcher te Nieuwegein. De cursus start om 9.00 uur en is om 17.00 uur afgelopen, waarna er nog gelegenheid is voor napraten.
