Working inside a baby’s mouth requires precision. The mouth is small, the tissues are delicate, and at the same time, good access to the treatment area is essential. The Chompr from Armor Dental has been specially developed to keep the mouths of young babies open in a controlled manner during dental treatment.

The Chompr combines a firm mouth gag with soft support on the outside of the mouth. This keeps the mouth open and provides stabilization. This makes the treatment area more accessible and visible to a dentist.

An important feature of the Chompr is that it is already available for newborns. Armor Dental originally developed the Chompr precisely to meet this need: a mouth opener suitable for the small mouth and thin mucous membranes of young babies.

Two versions are available:

  • The Chompr Newborn, for babies from 0 to 3 months.
  • The Chompr Infant, for babies aged 3 to 12 months.

The Chompr is often used during a frenectomy, in which a tongue tie or lip tie that is too short is cut. Good access to the area under the tongue is important in this procedure. At the same time, the mouth must remain sufficiently open and stable to give the practitioner room to work accurately. The Tongue Guide Pro is also often used during this procedure. Both instruments are non-reflective and therefore suitable for practitioners who work with a laser. The Chompr is autoclavable and therefore reusable.

The Chompr is available in the OMFT.info webshop.
